iDOS was started by two friends from Silicon Valley, out of their garage after they developed a new way to manufacture a more powerful processor. The company grew rapidly and was soon one of the two big names in computers. They dominated the art and entertainment markets and made a name for themselves with proprietary hard and software and their inability to be easily upgraded.
Two years ago the founder of iDOS died and the company has been slowly adjusting their business plan. Their growth and bottom line both took a small hit when Robert Hobbs died, but has taken off once more as the company and it's current chairman know how to market and are still leaders in the arts and creativity fields.
